Great way to start teaching math

I just started homeschooling my 5 year old son and after comparing many of the math programs I chose RightStart because they make it fun to learn math. They also have complete lesson plans so it was perfect for me as a beginning homeschooler. The best thing is that my son is doing great, and when he has a hard time grasping a concept, we play a lot of games around that area and it makes it click. We also love the abacus,it really helps to visualize the numbers! Also the customer service team at right start is extremely helpful and pleasant! I had a question and they were very helpful, timely and courteous.

I ordered this starter kit summer of 07 and I can't believe how well my children are understanding math concepts! My 5 year old was understanding adding tens and ones in her head about 3 months into the program and we didn't even do it every day. I truly wish I had been taught Math with this method. We have made it about halfway through level A and my child is now 6 and can add coins in her head!!! I am amazed and delighted with her progress. We are obviously taking it VERY slowly, but she is truly understanding and the concepts are solid with her which makes each lesson easy to build on! I love this program and can't wait to try level B!

Begging For Math!

My daughter loves math so much she actually begs for it! It has all to do with this curriculum. RightStart makes math fun. When I say it is time to do school work, she asks for math first. And on days we don't normally do school work, she begs me to do math with her!

This kit is surely the "right" way to begin teaching math to a young child. I have used these materials with two children, a boy and girl and both have thrived on it. Each learns in a slightly different manner but with this easy, step by step teaching method, you can easily tell what is and isn't understood and easily dive in to a better understanding. The tools are a huge help and provide a firm foundation and understanding of basic, important math concepts making the more difficult math in the following levels come easily. Thank you for these great products that work so well together!
